I view mediation as a specialized craft that bridges high-stakes commercial interests with complex human dynamics. Over twenty years ago, I chose to dedicate my professional life entirely to the practice of structured negotiation, mediation, and conflict management. Based in Italy, my work operates on a truly global scale. Every year, I guide parties through more than 180 international mediations—frequently involving multi-million euro claims under major institutional rules.

Because conflict is rarely just about the legal text, my approach is intensely pragmatic and deeply attentive to the cultural and emotional nuances that dictate whether a negotiation succeeds or fails.

I believe that elite dispute resolution requires a constant loop between the mediation table and the classroom. Balancing my active practice at the mediation table with my work as an academic and international trainer, I have shared my real-world professional experience across 900 training courses with thousands of professionals worldwide.

Whether working with corporate executives, international organizations, or fellow practitioners, my focus remains the same: bringing a composed, cross-culturally fluent perspective to help parties navigate complex and sensitive disputes.

International Mediation

Disputes are rarely just about the legal question on the table. For over twenty years, my work has been about creating the conditions in which parties can move past what divides them and find what they can genuinely agree on — and what I have always tried to offer. Cross-border disputes are also deeply human. I have spent that time working across different legal systems, languages, and cultures, helping parties find outcomes that no imposed settlement can produce.

ADR Consultancy

Good dispute resolution systems do not happen by accident. I work with institutions, law firms, and corporations to build the frameworks through which conflict — when it arises — already has a sensible path. The United Nations and USAID are among the organisations I have supported in this work.

Training & Academia

Teaching mediation is, for me, inseparable from practising it. I try to bring real cases and genuine reflection into the room — whether that is a course at the University of Trento School of Law, a professional programme for experienced practitioners, or an international retreat.
Mediation practice and teaching each shape the other.
